Recommendations
Emphasize the importance of adopting the concepts of good governance with its multiple dimensions by
Arab countries and organizations concerned with Arab food security. This support should extend to both
the public and private sectors, guided by a strategic perspective that incorporates a vision, specific ob-
jectives, and programs related to Arab food security. It should also prioritize the development of supply
chains, trade systems, importation, and the reduction of reliance on specific sources for imports.
Organize an annual forum on issues related to enhancing food security under the sponsorship of the
League of Arab States in collaboration with NAUSS, and call upon organizations concerned with food secu-
rity in the Arab region, along with civil society and the private sector, to actively participate.
Strengthen legislations regulating food production, marketing, and consumption, with a focus on reduc-
ing food loss and waste.
Affirm the importance of adopting educational and awareness raising content aimed at altering the dietary
behavior of Arab children and families and enhance awareness of the risks associated with food waste.
Enhance early warning and seasonal climate prediction systems to mitigate risks and invest significant
efforts in utilizing renewable energy sources in the agricultural sector. In addition to that, optimizing the
performance of organizations and bodies working in the field of food security in general, with a particular
focus on agricultural production, and enhance coordination among them.
